In London the closest thing we have to euro-style plaza life is Gillett Square (aka crackba). The ledges feel like they are going to crumble every time you grind them and it’s probably the most hectic public square in the city but we love it and want it to last. If you are planning on skating it please avoid Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 3.30 to 6.30pm as the pop-up playground is on and you might end up backtailing infant’s shin off.
Duppy is a new Blip edit filmed entirely at Gillett over some of the warmest weeks of last summer by Kev Parrott and Dan Magee.
