It’s funny to think that in 2020 the age old tradition of going to LA on 90 day tourist visas to film parts is still going strong. We all love claiming that the days of They Don’t Give a Fuck Us are behind us and that skateboarding, being as global as it is today, allows people to make it no matter where they are based but let’s face it: if you’re as gifted as Kai and based in Shonan, Japan sadly trips to Cali are still a fast-track to getting global exposure. This was filmed during Kai’s first 3 month stint by his old friend Eric Iwakura but he’s been back several times since so expect to see a lot more of his gentle (yet razor sharp) technique in the very near future!
