Whether it’s feeding off your friends for trick/spot ideas, taking one more push at something you’re terrified of because you’re being egged on, or a hightened productivity simply from spending more time out in the streets around people trying to get shit (simply because that’s what the people you want to be around are doing), there’s just no denying the power of fat crew energy when it comes to filming skateboarding, especially in your early twenties. Painstakingly obvious stuff, of course, but this second STUMPBOYS video almost feels like a study of the phenomenon, with T4’s post-kickout ender to glory push through the homies and into the night acting as the ultimate advert for trying to stack in this context. It’s a vid that screams “you can do all the sneaky cellar-door side-missions in the world, you aren’t going to make memories like this if you boy off the gang”, and we’re here for it!
