Jasper Dohrs in Preduce’s “BOOGIE”
As I’m sure you can tell, the amount of incredible shit there is to skate in Bangkok is wild. And it’s not just the sheer volume of spots, because there isn’t necessarily more than most major cities in Spain or France, for example, but it’s the variety. It just feels like there are endless different types of crust/marble configurations, existing in every imaginable context. If exploring dusty back alleys is your thing, the possibilities are endless! Just like they are if all you want to do is laps of silky smooth plazas, or huck, or sneak around trying to hit some high-security street tranny… It has it all, and then some. To the point where it’s almost hard not to get overwhelmed and give up on the old clip chasing at the first sight of a passion fruit shake… Just because there’s so much to adapt to.
Luckily for us, Jasper Dohrs and his Seattle-honed skills are as versatile as they get, and every gem we’d have passed on thinking “I don’t quite know how to skate this, I’ll get something at the next spot”, he’s hit in the smartest, most majestic way possible. Hopefully, it gives us the kick up the arse we need to cut the silly excuses next time we’re out there…
Keep an eye out for Preduce‘s BOOGIE, dropping in full next week.
