Rishy’s Video
Seems like ages ago when my friend Luke Browne DM’ed me about Rishy’s vid. He said it had just premiered, but the footage hadn’t came out online yet. He sent me a link… It was so banging! I recognised quite a few of the rippers from their London visits. I was pretty gassed on all the plaza footage at Aotea. It was some of the best skating I’d ever seen from Auckland, New Zealand, quite the treat to watch (maybe one day I’ll make it to Aotea Square!)! Anyways, I told Luke it would be sick to help Rishy get this online. But then nothing really happened. Almost a year later we released fellow New Zealander Theo Clarke’s SALO part. Theo and I got to talking and I brought up Rishy’s Video, and I tried to enquire about it more. Theo was on the case, he said, and that he’d speak to Rishy and convince him to put it online.
On Halloween 2025 I got an email from Theo with Rishy CC’ed in. I replied and told Rishy how stoked I was on the vid and how we could help him release it. Then nothing… Crickets…
December 12th a reply finally lands in my inbox from Rishy: “Hey Will! Shit man, I’m so sorry for the late reply. I’ve just been busy with life and work admin. Yeah bro I’d be stoked as if you’d be able to help out! Let me know what the go is and we can work out a plan. Cheers, Rishy”
Life happens sometimes and shit gets hectic… Well, we worked out a plan and I’m stoked to say it’s finally online in full. According to Rishy: “All the footage was filmed between 2018-2023 and we had a prem in September 2024. I’ve been slackin’ hard dropping it haha.”
All good Rishy, just so happy this footage is finally seeing the light of day!
