Sometimes the skate gods operate in mysterious ways… One minute they get you gassed on a Japanese superproduction that’s clearly pushing the boundaries of what’s technically possible on a skateboard; the next you’re 5 centimetres away from your screen, squinting but ecstatic, as Tommy May smashes his nose through a phone box with a Greggs advert on it somewhere in Nottingham.
