Etnies – NOW THEN
Managing to film a proper edit in under a week is an impressive feat no matter the circumstances, but when the crew essentially consists of only 3 skaters (Barney Page, Nassim Lachhab and Matisse Banc), the heat is so asphyxiating that filming fisheye lines is borderline dangerous (ask Kev Parrott about getting the only one that’s in there) and you also have to shoot a print article alongside it, arriving at four and half minutes of this calibre is pretty fucking nuts. Especially when you take into account that rather than giving in to the temptation of filming the whole thing in Sofia, or easier even, at the capital’s iconic NDK plaza, this lot chose to venture out to lesser-skated Bulgarians towns to keep the terrain extra exciting!
