Arthur Ribeiro – Obnoxius

Three years ago a Brazilian filmer of the name of Ademar Badê approached us about 1500, a project he’d just finished with his close friend Arthur Ribeiro in hope of spreading the word about the 20 year old’s unmistakable talent. Arthur at the time had become a father, like Ademar, and the part was essentially filmed in the hope that Cons (who he was getting flowed by) would see what he was truly capable of and take a chance on him…
Fast forward three years and a shitload of hard work from both of them and we’re proud introduce Obnoxius, the third – but hopefully not final – chapter in their heartwarming tale of friendship and skateboarding, written between Goiânia and Brazilia. Very much in line with the previous two, this new addition to their catalogue is as refreshing in terms of spot selection (the only ones we recognised were from his pervious Free sections) as it is bonkers in terms of tricks, with a repertoire that hits hard both in the realm of the traditional (straight fakie flip a road gap!) and the completely unpredictable (nollie kilty mcbagpipe over a bump to bar to 50-50?!!!!!), and we’re beyond stoked to announce that it was officially supported by Converse Cons! Good on you guys, now lets get the boy a ticket to Europe!
